If Melandri continues to do well then a quick switch to Tech 3 next year might be the ticket....and I wonder who will get the boot

Hmmm. And having noted the standard of racing in WSB this year there will be no cakewalk back to a world championship there either.

What about Hayden though Looks like his first season on the Duke is sliding down the toilet like Melandri's did

They were saying Hayden is riding with basically whiplash. He's obviously in some pain with that shoulder because I thought he was doing well with the bike in pre season before his meeting with his screen?

Lorenzo, although my tip for the season, made a boo boo.

Rossi on for the 100 at Mugello , what a party that would be. I expect dominance if he is on for it.

I think Stoner will start to get back ontop now. To get a 3rd on a track where the Duc clearly didnt do well at (look at where they all finished...) will be a good stepping stone for him.

I really think Stoner will be on the up now.

On a side note, I think Stoner might have Grown up!!! He doesnt seem to be bitching like he did last year, he seems to have learnt some humility. Which is good

I don't believe it... Superb race by Rossi, but Lorenzo throwing it away... I knew I should have kept Pedrosa in my Fantasy Team.

I think he was always going to be strong and it's quite likely that he'll put a run of wins together at some stage this season. What the other Ducatis do is a bit irrelevant really though. Stoner could be front row whether there's another Duc in 8th or they're all at the back, and he usually is.

Rossi is the man to beat though. The competitor. Dani just folded (I know he lacks fitness still) and I think Rossi would have fought tooth and nail had the roles been reversed. I don't think Dani and Stoner have what it takes to beat him if Rossi is ever in with a shout, Jorge might, as may Dovi (and others but they may never have the bike they need to live with the pace) I just hope we see more race-long action. What we need is Rossi to be just off the pace all weekend, but still end up front row somehow, and then get a mega start and be chased all race by Jorge, Dani and Casey.

When it's Rossi catching up it's just a foregone conclusion and usually just one pass and it's over.

Great 250 race-long action too though, 125s were nuts aswell.

Marco has won more elite class GPs than Hayden, and they were all wins on satellite bikes. Hayden is a World Champion, and that's amazing, but it's no guarantee he'll do well on the Ducati, and I personally think Melandri is a better rider.

you have to wonder what would happen to ducati if Stoner ever left.
also, if stoner is the only one who can tame the duke, how bloody good would he be on any of the other manufacterers bikes! I guess he would be miles ahead. How long before he realises this?

The guy is an awesome rider - just a shame about the attitude.
