Yeah...we don't care! lol

Tbh though I probably wouldn't air things like accidents etc on a public forum. Never know what might bite you in the ass later on.

You dont always lose all your no claims, it depends on the severity of the claim, years ago i had 5 years ncb and hit a bmw up the back when he slammed his brakes on an amber light.
I lost 2 years ncb, not all five.

Oh really, I thought it was all lost instantly. Fingers crossed then eh!

I'm interested to know what you mean by "Might bite you in the ass later on" as I've had more than one person say this, naive as I may be, I dont see what the ramifications could be?!

Hong, you should only lose 2yrs ncb, if you are found to be at fault, it's only money and that's why monthly payments were invented, chin up lol.

Ramifcations are probably bugger all, its the scaremongers at work again.
Unless you put you name and full address, how the hell is your insurance company gonna put you and this forum together enough for evidence that would stand up, i dont see how personally.
Unless its admitting to a filmed fast ride at silly speeds which i presume would have to identify you or the bike on film or a murder i wouldnt worry, i dont anyhow.

I don't know how it could, but I personally don't see the point in risking it. It wouldn't be hard to connect the dots between the accident, this forum and your computer company.

I wasn't scaremongering. I'm told by people in the know (solicitors who work criminal cases) that forum posts can be used as evidence, or at least as a character protrayal, in some instances. If for example someone had a number of accidents and was posting lighthearted remarks on internet forums, whilst claiming for emotional damages etc - you can see where I'm going.

This is nothing to do with this incident Hongman; just talking generally!

I'm sure Ed has a view on this. I'm not legally minded but just go on what I've learnt from conversations with people who are; forums aren't completely anonymous.

Bibio, I have no idea what you mean! oo-er

Point very seriously taken though, and much appreciated.

In this case though, even if I were to try wiggle out of it, I very much doubt I could. I thought it was pretty much a given that going into the back of someone is insta-at-fault, unless you had a witness that the vehicle in front did something which caused the accident.

I appreciate the sentiments.

Now if I had just murdered someone...
