Which Exhaust?

Yeah i was looking at the M4 Slip-on's, when i looked on you tube the majority of SV's had M4 Cans and your right they do sound extremely nice.
Is there anywhere that sells M4 slip-on over here in the UK or is it best to order one from the States?

The only place that i found that dealt with M4 outisde the states was jhs racing: http://www.jhsracing.co.uk/, but this still worked out more expensive than ordering from the U.S. I ordered mine from Blair at SV racingparts: http://www.svracingparts.com/. Excellent service, good prices and Blair always responded to my emails within a half hour of sending them. i had dealt with him before and would deal with him again. The total price for the exhaust delivered to ireland was $395.00, about £235.00. its not as cheap as other exhausts, but 2 months on i am very happy i went with the M4.

ya, if you can at all you should try to get to listen to them in person. whilst the M4 does sound good on youtube vids, it really dosent do it justice. none of the vids were really that good or clear, with some only showing you what it sounded like on idle. you really need to hear what it sounds like through the rev range. the vids also dont show how loud it is. it is a lot louder than i thought and tbh it was initially too loud for me. i have grown to love its low deep rumble but at first it wasnt for me. its not so loud that it wakes the dead, but it does draw people to look at you when passing through towns etc. its fine and dosent casue any prob on motorways / faster roads though. i cant hear it at all with the road noise drowing it out. but then again i wasnt use to loud exhausts! never had one on any of my cars and this is my first bike, so whilst i thought it was loud some of you more experienced bikers mighnt think so! i do love the way it looks, its a nice looking exhaust and dose follow the lines of the bike well.

i will be taking the bike to work later so i will get a decent vid, somethig like i was lookig for but couldnt find and will post it up later. might help you make up your decision!

Well i defo think its a choice between the beowulf warrior and the M4. COuld do with finding someone local that has these fitted and checking them out.

M4 is nice, but a tad expensive!

Ask YC he's got a full system and its GP bike loud, rephrase it: there is quieter race bikes than YC's bike

what i have found with the warrior is that is sounds nice and meaty low revs, quietens down midrange then screams like a banshee on full chat.

If I may, I'd like to throw another choice into the mix. I have a Delkevic stubby on mine. Sounds fantastic with or without the baffle. Stangley, it's not much louder without the baffle but the tone is much deeper and the popping and banging is very addictive. Best thing is it was £125.00 delivered.

How much did you want to spend? I've got a titanium viper with stainless linkpipe and a baffle sat in my workshop doing nothing. Could do with a polish but it sounded awesome on my curvy. A deep roar with plenty of popping and banging on the overrun.

Another vote here for the Scorpion Street Extreme, looks lovely and has a much deeper noise than the standard can. It's also really nicely made.

Thanks for the replies, its gonna be a few months until i have the funds for a new can as i'm buying lower fairing and R&G crash bobbins this month. I have asked for recommendations as i thought the sooner i start i start reviewing exhausts the easier the decision will be when i have the money. Irish ek, i look forward to seeing your video. Why is there so many damn makes lol. I do prefer the style of the M4, the cone shape is very nice, and i like the distinct whistle it gives.

I'll second that, the Delkevic cans are well made and very good VFM.

Paiste- will your exhaust fir pointy though? As aren't curvy parts just for curvys?

If incorrect can you send me some pictures i want an exhaust that looks good and isnt too big for my 2007 SV.
