I don't want to make them myself, I have no router, I do have a jigsaw but besides that, I don't want to make them myself.

I'd like them so that I can fit bigger speakers in the car, the Disco will only take 4" speakers and I would like some 6" (or 6.5" whatever they are) but I would also like to angle them upwards as they point at your ankles in the Landrover.

I might also want some to take 6x9 speakers. Due to the various states of undress that the Disco is in it is not possibly to just cut a bigger hole where the existing spreakers are.

Cheers
At last a thread that is in my area of knoledge. You want a set of these Theya re not pretty but will solve your issues.

However, i would so build them form MDF as they will sound far far better than the plastic ones. You dont need a router, a jigsaw is just as good. There are plenty of ways to build simple pods that will compliment the shape of the door better. No good putting a btter set of speakers in there then wasting the sound through a bad seal into the door. If you need help, let me know. I have spent years, and a lot of money faffing around with car hifi.

You're a dude fella. Yeah, I'd prefer to make them myself and try to fibreglass them in to wherever they are going.

A dead simple and quick way of making some speaker mounts.

1) make the base plate to fit the door.
2) Make the ring for the speaker to sit on.
3) get the two parts and angle them using bots of dowel on its end
4) once happy, glue together
5) get some black speaker cloth and stretch over the top and fasten at the bottom of the part that fits to the door using a staple gun (Make sure its very tight
6) using fibreglass resin, paint the cloth all over. Maybe a second coat after a rub down.
7) cut the hole out in the top. and bottom for the speaker.
8. either spray or cover the finished article.

These are lightweight and is what i did for a pair of 4" components in the footwells of my old Volvo. I then had a 6" woofer in the doors.
