Not usually. I'm in London tomorrow, but if I'm anywhere near where you work thats another matter and I'll probably be on the train though (too many thieves/ticket wardens).

Weekends nearly here though.

Is it ok to come and get the lever off you? I'll wander down, any time that suits you.

Anyone able to confirm if it is illegal to ride with the ball end snapped off the brake/clutch levers?

Mine's been off for months, and when it was in at the dealers for servicing, the bloke did tell me that i'd need to get it sorted as it would be an MOT failure but as that was still 2 years away no need to worry yet.

just wandering, if you do mention a crash to you insurance but dont actulay claim with them, do you ever have to tell another insurance.

If you think about it, its not a claim is it.

Some companies ask if you've made a claim, others ask if you've had an accident.
Legally speaking, to the best of my knowledge, any question they ask you that you don't literally answer truthfully can be grounds to void the insurance.

I think you'll find all companies will ask for 'any claims or accidents'.

As has been mentioned if you are settling privately don't even think of mentioning it to your insurance company. Personally I keep well away from having anything to do with insurance companies. The only thing I want from them is the lowest premium possible, pay it and hopfully thats it till next renewal. Everything else is strictly on a 'need to know' .

Cheers
Ben
