bicarb of soda overnight in a tied up old sock inside the boot.

Actually the best thing for removing stink is the freezer although inconvenient.

So if you aint going to use them the following day and you can fit them in the freezer then do it and put them under the radiator the following morning.

Sub-zero temperatures kills the bacteria which is what causes the smell.
