No- it was good,...

no pressure to keep up- usmore sedate (and within the speed limits ) riders thoroughly enjoyed it..

only fall back was the social side- not in the evening - in the day ,.. as the fast lads got to stops at least 10 mins before us , when we arrived - it wastime for them to go.! so there wasnt much time for an actual.. north meets south.


The fast boys have taught me something though- I am glad I satay at speed limiuts, I am a scaredy cat! and dont wanna fall off.. and I dont mind admitting that I dont get me kee down and go quick - i thought it would have made me feel less of a man not riding fast but it didnt.. I enjoyed it and what's more- I am ALIVE to remember it.!!

Well it appears my thoughts and concerns were missplaced. Happy that a good time was had by all even Quiff on his snail. :P :P

Quiff you fib Sir. There was one straight bit ( one of the few ) that I overtook you on. I sat behind you at a very naughty speed and when I nipped by you I was doing well lets say it was well into 3 figures.

I have to agree no pressure to ride beyond your limits, Mark did give directions before we left each stop and where he knew the road turned off and it was easy to miss junctions he stopped and marked the junctions so we knew where to go.

no Pete your thoughts were exactly what ours were initially...!!!!

but when we realised it wsasnt a race and no one thought worse of us for going 40mph in a 40mph limit then it all settled down....

wudda been nice to have seen the southern boys at some point though instead of a quick wave when I bumped into matt and scoobs on the way home...


but- each to their own- everyone works hard to have the fun of a bike as a hobby and the south contingent had ridden miles to get here- and some of them had bever seen roads liek these- so hey !!.. go enjoy--

it is a group thing but personal enjoyment is just that.! very personal..
I prefer to see the scenery and take my time .... and almost cruise.. others dont... I suppose a group like that you will never get everyone wanting to do the same pace.. - best part for me was Ullswater- becasue EVERYONE stayed together there for about 10 miles and THAT bit did indee feel like a ride out meeting and there seemed an air of camaradre there that wasnt so apparent earlier in the weekend....

I think bonds were made (espesh Amarko and Richie numbers)

point to note- anyone who wants to see the lovely scenery of Shropshire etc on the AR06... ride near me... you certainly wont get tempted to ride beyonf your ability if you ride with me...

we all ride for fun.. i you get out of your comfort zone it is no longer fun and truly does become scary .... so.......................... ride for yourself .

Quiff...I was merely trying to defend the position that I would have most likely occupied in the possee. That would of course have seen me very close to that rear of yours! :P
