Not nice, but I guess it could have been alot worse.
Scant comfort though when looking at the drama of scratched metal and plastic.

These nice, sunny, 'winter' days mean cold snaps at night - frost and nasty little patches of ice lurking in the shadows of hedges.

Sorry to hear about this - just been ordering the bits for getting my pointy back on the road - looks like £50 quid will be the bill, tho will need to add a bit if I decide to replace the cracked plastic, I guess I was lucky to go down on the left side - no can damage.

Hope it hasn't got you too down - keep an eye on that hip - may be worth getting it checked out, my off was low speed and resulted in the collarbone snapping - hips SHOULD be tougher, but might be worth getting it checked that its not chipped or cracked, unattended damage that you can shrug off when young can often come back to haunt in later years.

David

PS None of the MCN Babe finalists were a patch on you - and thats comparing them "in the flesh - oooer" to only having seen photos of you :P

Hope you feel better soon and your bike isn't to bad.

I did the exact same thing last week, luckily was on my hack so I wasn't that bothered.
I remember thinking as I watched it slide up the road "I'm glad thats not my SV"

Happens to us all.

Still a bit icy around here so the SV stays put.

Hope you get better soon and the SV is an easy fix.

All sounds eminently fixable at least, but it's never good news. Glad you're more or less OK though
