E bike worked out best for me. As for claims processing. Very quick and had the cheque about a fortnight after the off. No arguing about value as they were very generous in their valuation.

Stu,

If we ever meet up at a rideout, I'll buy you a pint.

My insurance on my Speed Triple for the last couple of years has been about £1,300 a year (£112 a month) due to a few points on my license and having had a bike stolen. So this year I decided to try to reduce that. I got a few quotes on the net - ebike and Carole Nash both quoted around £650. Then I saw your post and tried thebikeinsurer.co.uk. The best quote on there was £585. Then one of the brokers that thebikeinsurer.co.uk uses gave me a ring. They're bikenet insurance http://www.bikenetinsurance.co.uk and we were on the phone for about an hour whilst they tried to get me a better quote. Eventually they managed to get me a quote for £479 from Equity Red Star. That's a saving of a massive £865 over last year

So thanks very much for the tip, and thanks to bikenetinsurance for working to get me such a good quote.

I'm a very happy bunny, er goat, at the moment.

£865 in beers for me! woo hoo that's a P*** up. Don't know what you're so happy about it hasn't saved you anything - just redirected your money!

I'm really glad for you - I'm with Equity red star as well & they've handled my claim well too boot (hope you're comprehensive, but don't need it)

Equity Red Star just did me £366 fully comp, 11 months licence held, 0 NCB, ungaraged in London. That was through motorcycle direct.

I have just used www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk and it helped to reduce my
annual renewal premium (comprehensive) from £124.50 to £100.52.

E-bike,

cheap, multi-bike polices, can manage it all on the net in your own time + easy to get on the phone, 365 days euro cover.

I wouldn't touch bennetts again, not with a long stick, they wanted to charge me £1100 extra (on top of £700) for putting a can on the bike!

No thanks!
