Yep all left side on the bike and myself. Thing is I'm really worried now. Maybe I'm going to be a fair weather commuter.

The last few days of rain hasn't been fun for me mate.

Keep thinking that wet roads are the same as ice due to a confidence problem following my off back in December.

However, riding in it on on the newly wetted greasy roads is helping.

I guess what I am trying to say is, It wasnt your fault you came off, yes the roads can be a bit unpredictable, but the only way to get over it is to get out there, in all weathers and get your confidence back.

I found I was being really nervous about the corners, but check them out for spills, then just look where you are wanting to go and let the bike take you there - its probably better at cornering than you are, so let it do its stuff

What he said!
I think a large percentage of members have at some point ended up saying "Hiya!" to the tarmac. It's all part of the game! Although we all try to avoid it. Doing a Bikesafe day could improve your confidence as well!
Just ride easy until your confidence is back and then enjoy the thrills a little SV can give you!

Good luck & don't lose your confidence. I'm a courier and seem to spend an inordinate time sliding on my ar$e!!

My life; Get up, ride, dodge idiots, get hit by idiot, stand up, get back on, ride some more etc etc!!
Thats a great attitude to have. Suppose its pretty much necessary if you make
a living as a courier.

There were plenty of curvy parts around, there are millions of them being broken. Try www.gissit.com they email all breakers for you, it's handy and worked for me. As for your confidence, just ride again, take it easy on a nice sunny day, and your confidence will soar back.

Well heres the bit of road :S

Entry into bend

Only I now see I was on the exit when the bike landed

Look what was waiting in the verge for me if I was going quicker

There is a shiny part of the road ie no stones just the tar. Then a change in road surface. It was still greasy today.

Its already been said, the best way to develop your skills is to ride in all weather tbh. It can be offputting if you have an off in bad weather but getting back on and learning how to ride in rain will make you so much smoother all round. Well thats my experience anyway.

Not the way I look at it. 5 accidents on the SV, 1 written off CBR, 1 slide on the GPZ and what do I do a month after headbutting a car door? Buy a CBF1000. If someones trying to tell me something they havent noticed Ive got my fingers in my ears and going lalalalalalalala

If its in your blood all you can do is learn from your mistakes [or learn to ensure that the bike is properly checked for mechanical faults rather than have another slide to work out they missed something ] and try and get better and avoid having any more.

Bummer though hope the bike is easily fixable Good thing is, youre ok

Na, keep at it. Good skill in the wet means you'll be very fast in the dry (if you want to be..)

What tyres do you have on the bike? Some tyres (MEZ4s....) are quite poor in the wet
