Arrgh! battery problems

i need to go through the whole whole electrics with a multimeter, becasue i think i have a couple of other problems. its running fine now, still havnt replaced the reg rec or the batetry, but will do it soon. only been doing short trips though. wouldnt trust it going any further. hasnt blown any bulbs or change in brightness at different rpm.

By test the generator they mean actually check the 3ph hot wires (yellow ones going into the reg-rec) coming out of the generator, IIRC it should be 50vac or thereabouts phase-phase (can check haynes for you if anyone needs the exact)
