So basically nothing to worry about other than the left hand drive thing?
I did an insurance quote using both UK and import and there was no difference. I just paniced and felt unclean for a while but I hope I'll be ok. Nev. |

Nev,
i had a similar shock June 06 when my local dealer told me the bike chasis number was not from the UK. the headlights were different but that is all. got them changed. Taz from peterborough are bad for it, nearly all there new bikes are imports that is why they are cheap. nothing to wory about, it is insured fine and has pased its MOT's ok . the only time i would worry is if it was a big CC bike as if it came from frnace or germany then it will be restricted to 100BHP. |

Mines an import too, but I imported it myself. I had to take mine through the SVA test as it didn't have the correct paper work to be a purely paper exercise, but it is possible to import a bike if you have the European certificate of conformity without anyone actually seeing the bike itself, apart from the MOT man.
