What internals are you using on the SV forks?

There are some excellent cartridge emulators about, or full cartridge kits.

I agree the GSX-r front end swap entails additional hassle; insurers may not like it, more mechanical work involved, it's altering the geometry of the bike, sourcing a good pair cheaply, etc.

I don't think the brakes on the SV are particularly lacking, so was happy to 'only' upgrade them with braided lines and new pads. That's why I opted for improving the stock fork internals. You could go this route and still save money over those brakes. The braking will also be improved as the front end will be more planted under braking thanks to the better front suspension. Overall, I think this would make more of an improvement to the bike than new calipers alone. You could probably even put some better discs on as well as these improvements for that sort of money!

Doing all of that and those calipers you linked to would be about £1000 though, so I'd only choose one or the other. Personally, I'd go for the suspension and slight improvements to the brakes.

I am thinking about a stiffer progressive spring(or a conventional oone???) of 0.8-0.85 kgr/mm stiffness(I weigh 70-71 kgr with gear).Of course better oil.I don't want to use cartridge emulators or full cartridge kits, not worth for the use I do

Who says I wont?
I forgot to mention I use 120/70 front tire instead of the stock 120/60(i really recommend this dimention).
Any ideas?Thinking about raisine the ride height(not only for sharper turning but because i am too tall for the saddle height).
I see you have matris stuff on your bike.Satisfied?

Oh yes.

Makes the SV feel like a much more expensive bike. Largest difference is how stable it becomes when leant over, particularly when going over bumpy surfaces. Bar-wag is dramatically reduced and the bike feels much more planted. Given the forks your bike had pre-crash were such high mileage, I think you'll notice a big improvement.

If you want to raise the ride height, on mine the OE forks could only be raised 2mm. Some of the replacement rear shocks are a bit higher and the nicer aftermarket ones have ride height adjustment. Bear in mind the pegs will still be in the same place relative to the seat though, so if it's leg cramps you're getting, you might need to get rearsets too (although this will cause the cost to go up dramatically). I suppose you could make the rearsets lower, so there was more leg room, then jack the rear up a little bit to offset this (so you don't lose ground clearance).

NB: Any ride height adjustments will alter the handling of your bike, so make a note of stock settings (so you can go back to them if you mess them up) and make any changes small, gradual ones. Don't go sticking the rear 10cm up in the air straight away.
