Scrubbed my last tyres in with 1 lap of the Ring, steadyish but still did a fair few cars. It then rained so I returned to the hotel. The first lap the next day was in the rain and the tyres seemed ok, so it doesn't take long if you work them a bit. That was a set of BT-002R, type 3 front and type 4 rear IIRC. I normally start with some strong acceleration and braking first, then start to build the lean angles up. After 12 miles chicken strips on a sports bike can be history (a little harder on some SV tyres due to the profile).
Again take car out there, it's all different, these are just what I found, what you do is up to you. |

Andy - that amount of weight and the valve side of the wheel is a bit strange unless you have a particularly bad set of wheels.

p.s been riding for so long now - you get slippy sets and grippyer sets (even within the same brand)
Generally softer compound have more release agents as the are stickier Always ride safely on new tyres I have seen 2 crashes involving people leaving shops and decking their ride. Be very careful - even if the last set were not as slippy. |

Nothing especially wrong with the way the balance weights are fitted. If it needs that many then the wheel obviously needed balancing alot but if the fitter is smart he/she will fit the tyre so that the heaviest part of the tyre is located near the lightest part of the wheel. It doesnt look like this has been done, not a disaster mind but could probably have been done with fewer weights with a little thought.
Mechanically its perfectly fine. |

I like to give them a scrub with a brillo pad or the rough side of a sponge.

Btw that place is near the valve so I don't think it's strange to have it near the valve tbh. |
