yes, just checked this morning and it is still £22.something on the shelf, slightly tempted to see if a second bottle would go through at the £17 note price at that price I could justify the stock holding

Tim, the Tesco policy is even better than ASDA's. If something is wrongly marked (too high) you get the product FREE and the cost back.

We bought some posh balsamic vinegar that was advertised on the shelf for £1.99 and when we got to the till it was £6.99 (I want proper wine for that bloody price!) When we queried this, they not only gave us the very expensive balsamic free but also the £6.99. Unfortunately they changed it before we could clear the shelf!

C
Tesco did the same for mandy on some automatic air fresheners that were marked wrong..

however- that is goodwill.. and a gesture- not law.. the price is not binding. you can haggle.. it is "an invitation to tender" .. so it is not a case of it is priced at 10p you HAVE to sell it to me..

they DONT have to serve you at all if they dont want to.. ..

I have been learning a little about the attraction of single malts. I could grow accustomed to them Cardhu is soooo nice. Smells gorgeous. Not many places stock it, but Sainsburys doo

oh and Tim..
I will see your bottle of whisky and raise you a fire..

bought a new fire £300 from a shop.. big shop! it kept flickering a bit iffy .. so I went in for another.. they had none.. only one that was working but the heater was broken.. reduced £300 to £50.

bought the £50 one..

took them apart swopped over the bits I needed to mend my original.. and sent the mrs back to another branch with orig receipt, and the orig shell ( with reference stickers relating toreceipt) with the faulty inards in .... for a refund.. ..for the switch. which had become "faulty"

me working fire. £300 refunded .. £50 spent for said £300 fire.. no receipt now.. but hey .. I have my original fire , now mended but just the outer shell off the broken one and one tiny grommet to make it flicker properly nicked off the broken one. .

not quite a simple pricing error and a bit close to the edge but hey -

a week prior I was chatting to the old woman on the till in same shop as I was paying and she only charged me for 2 rolls of paper at £8 a rol when I had seven.. I owned up..

NOT !
