I am STILL off the road!

Latest News:

Third Party admitted liability, offically sent them the estimate on Friday so hopefully next week somebody will go view the bike so I can start repairs!!

-I've refused to pay out my excess so I'm waiting for them to agree everything.

So much for taking the bike to Newquay this weekend

actually I have to concur. Up there with old git with hat and pipe not paying attention is mum on the school run taking more notice of the kids in the car than of the road.

I have experience of not going through the insurance. My daughter was driving her car and got distracted whilst in queued traffic and rear ended the car in front at about 5mph. The damage to her car was £40 for a new headlamp. The car she hit was a 10 year old rover 400 and the lady driver had told her her husband had recently fitted the rear bumper from a scap yard for £15 so they would not be going through the insurance if we were to pay for the damage.

Bargain as we got £250 XS. So ask him for an estimate of cost. he gets one from a local bodyshop £400. We have little choice but to pay up. 4 months later he has a replacement bumper. Red when the car is green so I guess he has got another scraper bumper. Rip off gits but what can you do. She was to blame. We agreed to settle and then got ripped off.

Hopefully she won't change her mind about admitting liability.
You've got a witness anyway, so that shouldn't be the case, however...
