I went to Budapest a couple of years ago & would happily recommend it, fantastic city with loads to do. A few of the 'budget' airlines are flying there now, cost us about £80 for a return flight.

Wine? (O)Porto, Portugal. Not the most romantic of places for sure, but if you really want to know wine, a visit to the "Vinho do Porto" cellars is in order. Which, by the way, aren't really in Porto. They are on the southern bank of the Douro river, in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Just got back from the Alps- if you're into outdoor activities, would recommend it for a summer weekend! Got cheap sleezyjet flights, and then you can either get a car, or train?
