Here we go again. Yes, the CBRR IS perfect if you like hard riding, high revving and spend 80% of your riding time on track days. Obviously the sum of its parts are better than the SV and a lot of other bikes, but perfect for a lot of people? Nah.

Scoobs, that will be why you bought one then. Well done!

Yup, won't disagree with that... I took it veeeeery slowly when I was buying my bits, so I got good prices and good bits, but it'd be easy to get carried away and end up buying knackered bits. And, as you say, you either need to take the bike off the road completely for ages, or have the cash up front. (or credit card )

At last. Sense spoken.

Default Clinical

Isn't the CBR 600 RR a little clinical? I mean there are lots of "character flaws" that make the SV 650 S so much fun. Stopping over a longer distance than the CBR for one.

I shall be looking at upgrading the brake pads as per the original responses - the CBR is a fine bike, but not for me at the mo.

Sort the forks (this alone will make the brakes better as there is less dive to contend with), Braided lines, Clean/fully functional std calipers amd change the pads, Carbone lorraine SBK3's if using both road and track wet and dry or if dry mainly track use Performance Friction's (or cheaper option Bendix C-matrix)
