Shes right! Its a wonderfull modification, and allows you to use your bike for normally mundane things like shopping

OK got a bit more done to her today. Hi level exhaust bracket. Plastics back on Iridium screen fitted ( had to mod the hell out of it to fit ) Lower fairings painted and fitted.

Hope the screen isn't a faux par on a blue bike. I think I read it may be, on here.

Get to ride her tomorrow for the first time. Going to the MOT

just need to repair the little plastic scoop that goes on the fairing. These were a smashed set on ebay I picked up for 30 quid

Just noticed on the picture the lowers look a different shade. Must have been the light conditions. The only thing left to match is the tank.

Thanks all for the welcome.

I would like to tell you all the MOT went well, however I now need a new gear change peddle, clutch lever not to mention new plastics and bar end.

It was raining and my first time out on the bike. Taking things nice and easy, about 35-40 on a NSL very shallow curve, pretty slow as it was the first time out on it and it was raining lightly.

The rear end just skipped out from under me with no warning. I watched the bike slide off down the road as did I. Fortunately I was going slow enough not to end up in the hedge. I did make the verge though. The bike stopped on the white line about 20m down from me.

Also the engine had stopped? I figured it'd still be running.

No kerbs (phew)

Also, the car who was behind me stopped to help as did a recovery truck.
So with a few bruises and muddy leathers and massively dented pride. I rode the bike home in 3rd. (Only had to go about a mile.) Parked up and am contemplating hanging up the leathers already. 1st time out on the thing and this happens!

Now, do I put it down to experience? get back on the horse!!

I think I've had a lucky escape and maybe somebody's trying to tell me something.

Anyway is there anything specific that I may have missed looking at on the bike for damage?

The handle bar looks ok less the fact the bar end tore out and its cupped over on the very end of it.

Not sure if I should be looking at the bike, somebody suggested I may have come across some spilled diesel. The fall was not far from a garage so may have been the case.

I'll post up some pics of the bike and the scene tomorrow
