Angle iron frame matching the existing frame, 3 bars across with mesh in between, dust the glass with primer so you still get some light but it goes opaque.

just drill the iron frame and screw into the existing brickwork then?

eyup yc long time no speaky - been busy/ill/away/diaoreahahaha/ill again. Fancy having a stab at the shock & springs sometime maybe? Still got wedge sat waiting for you
