I must admit I'm always a little reluctant about being pillion. Being a passenger in a car means you have a protective cage, and I've been pillion on a couple of bikes (different riders) & I've spotted hazards well before they did.

I think it's probably better to be a pillion if you don't ride yourself, otherwise I think I just judge how the rider is doing, and think about what I'd be doing on that ride.

Might be a useful tool for feedback some day though...
