I have a SK9 and my first service was due at 600 but if I wanted to go to Suzuki I had to go to North Harbour Suzuki in Ayrshire. I had 758 miles on the clock when i got down there. Bike was taken straight away around 08:30 and it was out by 09:30. Total cost was £49.36 and that was labour free as its first service:
break dwon as follows: Filter assy engine oil £8.70 Sachet Brake Paste £1.39 Sundries £5.11 w/shop 10w/30 comp 4 oil £27.20 Gasket £0.51 total £42.91 + £6.45 VAT is £49.36

Cheeky swines charging you for the brake paste. Buy a tin for £5 and it'll do about 2000 brake pads...

How much generally does a service cost, and does it need to be done by a suzuki dealer or can i take it to my local KTM dealer? Cheers, James |

You can get Suzuki stuff off ebay + some oil in your local Halfords (not sure if you need to change the plugs as well), just make sure you get the BIKE oil.
It's not that difficult to be honest. Just follow the manual. |

i'm guessing his first service will be free....
dont worry about the FS mileage. i had mine done at 900 odd miles.. as long as you dont go much over the 1000 mile mark you should be fine. another thing about getting the services done elsewhere is that they do not go on the official suzuki database |
