What do you mean, as in, will you not be able to remove the grip once you've put it on?
ah, ok - to clarify, can i remove the heated grip, replace the throttle tube with the R6 one, and then put the heated grip back on. Or will the heated grip get knackered in the process of removing it?

Will, you should be ok, but it depends how cack handed you are and how well you glued it on.

Taking it off the standard SV grip caused me no problems.

For me it was the difference between reaching full throttle, and not.

If, like me, you put the grip on with a minimal amount of glue, it'll come right off. If you used a load, it probably won't It's easier to fit it to the R6 grip than the stock one as it's smoother.

Just bought one today rang round few places thought this might be a good MOD to do before I head off to Germany, so im now gonna sort out my fuel/air mixture and do a 4000 service and install a new rear brake pad all before thursday im gonna be knackered
