thing you have to think though is people make mistakes. I ride a bike and drive a car and the other day I was lost in my car and accidently ( lol ) swerved across this womans lane and completely cut her up - it was just a mistake

They happen!

BUT - the point is that you if youd have hit her you would have stopped - wouldnt you?

I would stop if I had made someone swerve just in case they pulled over further up the road, say for example in a bit of shock, and I could then at least go and apologise and put my hands up - if they then didnt stop then I would know they werent too bothered but at least I would have made the effort.

Indeed they do happen, but it might just be another mistake that ends up derailing that train and killing or hurting lots of people...

the thing is that everyone has to drive to a certain standard on our roads and with the ever increasing amounts of traffic you need to be more aware of whats going on around you.

In her case, ok she pulled out right in front of the motorcyclist but then she went on to speed dangerously onto a roundabout...where do you draw the line..????

Exactly.

To still doing 25MPH with 15 metres to the give way line and then only being able to stop half way across the road is not a mistake. Pulling out without even checking when you know you are/will be unsighted is not a mistake. Unless you can see round corners of course.

In the last month or so I've had two ladies cutting across me causing me while cranked over causing me to evasive action . Reason was simply they did not even do the basic MSM. Both times I have managed to catch up with them at traffic lights and politely imformed them of they had done and to please use their mirrors. All I got for saving myself was the bird .
(Where is Fraser when you need him)

Cheers
Ben

A friend and I had a similar incident when we were going to Nottingham last weekend. We were stopped at a set of traffic lights, when a van slewed into our lane and parked on my mates foot. Needless to say a few profanaties were uttered and we signalled to him to reverse. Once he realised what he had done, he backed up and my mate got his foot free. As soon as we left the lights we pulled the bikes over, my mate hobbling really badly to check his foot, and then to our amazement the guy in the van sped away !!!. My mate was having none of this so hopped (pardon the pun) back on his bike adrenelin racing caught up with the guy pulled in front of him and forced him to stop. The guy was furious and couldnt see what he had done wrong and refused to exchange details despite me telling him that it was still an incident even if neither vehicle was damaged. So we took a piccy of his number plate and reported him to the police. My question is to Fraser will they do anything, I am happy to be a witness for my mate.
