Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo......didnt know that. In that case, would recommend them over R&G anyday if thats the case. Lily had the standard motosliders on hers and must admit they seemed much more solid.

I'll try and find my pics, bung practically completley worn away, fairing in a bad shape but the engine and frame (the important parts) looked fine..

You're prepared to make a recommendation based purely on the brand, with no other experience of function or design?

Any pics of these motosliders as presumably they need to use a bracket like the R&Gs as well?

Drew has R&G's I had motosliders.

I had a little 5mph spill and the motoslider took the impact and all that broke was my gear selector, with only a small mark on the motoslider and no need to change the bolt or anything.

Drew's 5mph spill has caused us to by a new R&G and bolt.

If i had to pick between the two i would go for motorsliders everytime.

Drew isn't making a recommendation purely on brand, he has seen both, and seen both after they have been put to use.

I had R&G's on my faired K6. I highsided coming out of a roundabout and the bolt bent and snapped off. God knows where the bung ended up but I couldn't find it.
I rang R&G and had a very good response. They opened a warranty claim and sent me some freebies for my next bike, a naked K8 SV.
They sent me, crash bungs, bar end sliders, rear swing arm bobbins and a tail tidy.....all for free.......

Admittedly, the original shouldn't have snapped but I suppose at the end of the day the damage would still have been substansive so I think I had a result.

Thank you R&G.

a piccy of what was left after losing the bung:

i have R&G but want to take them off ( bought some engine guards)

QUESTION...-> Should i just unscrew the bobbins , or do i need to replace the connecting rod too? i thing the R&G rod is somehow different to an OEM (snaps easier?)

+1 - unfortunately i've had to have R&Gs fitted as the repair garage couldn't source the motosliders, and then they fitted the wrong ones. Bungs for a fully faired bike look bloomin awful on a bikini faired one

well motorsliders, slide like the above pic, but don't wear down half as much. Its a bit more like a scuff..
Fair doos, my fairing cracked, but that were down to the OEM indicators being made of some sort of alien non breakable bendy stuff, and pushing the fairing in.
SVRacing parts were very quick to send out a replacement bung, but I've not got round to fitting it, as theres mor than enough left on the scraped one for another go...not that its going to happen!
