i had a similar problem yesterday. the bike wouldnt start for the commute home. Called the RAC people. The mechanic charged the battery, even with a full battery it struggled to start. He suggested it might be the starter motor.

This morning again the bike struggled to start, finally managed to get it started and rode to work. I'm leaving work in about 30 mins and wonder if it'll start again!!!

strange. will let you know how i get on with the battery. im a bit worried about having to put acid in it myself!!!

Its like a rack of tubes that have foil covers over them that you push onto the battery. Just seems a bit strange to me and wondered why a sealed battery isnt sealed from the factory.
