Re: Vintage film cameras
Must have missed that bit. I'm happy with the deal, got something I wanted. I'll keep an eye on their site and see how much they put the T3 up for. I have seen a 55mm f2.8 Micro Nikkor that would look good on the F2, but I think I'll stick with a 50mm f1.8 for my the moment. I think I'm down to only two OM10s now.

Re: Vintage film cameras
It has arrived! I borrowed the lens from my FM until I can find something else for it, probably a 50mm f1.4.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's a serious lump of camera. Looks to be in pretty good condition.
What prism does it have? |

Re: Vintage film cameras
It's got a DP2 finder which makes this setup a F2S. The body remains the same but change the finder and you get different designations. F2AS, Photomic etc. It is a proper lump, but not as much as an XE1 (F2 1091g vs XE1 1131g)

Re: Vintage film cameras
Does it jump to the head of the queue?
I decided to go for the B&W processing - not the kit I linked to earlier. I only bought a tank and some chemicals |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Lol, I've list track of the queue! It's a case of whatever comes to hand that hasn't been shot. Tbh the year is a write off, doubt I'll get out to shoot again before Xmas. I think the guy servicing my OMs has gone on a break, gone a bit quiet.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Surprisingly they described this as "average" ! On a side note, my 2n and 4 have been repaired and will be shipped back next week, just waiting on the bill. I did send him some extras as part payment so will be interesting to see what the total will be.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's good news on the OMs. If they are fixed and serviced, they should be reliable for a good few years.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Hopefully, I didn't realise how brittle the OM4s could be. We on earth would they put a fragile ceramic board in a pro level camera? Surely a traditional pcb would have been better.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I just looked up om4s and circuit boards. Seemingly there were 5 or 6 different ones with the electrics being more of a problem than the material, This article is interesting, and one I can just about understand http://olympus.dementix.org/Hardware...M-4_modern.pdf
