Can you ACF50 brake calipers

I am going to do a big clean, service, protect on my bike this weekend. If you take the brake pads out is it ok to ACF50 the calipers?

I wouldn't, the stuff creeps like crazy. I managed to get some on the brakes once, It's sh*t scary when they don't work.

I just wiped mine over on the outside of the caliper with a rag with ACF on it. So far brakes work ok

A toothbrush and a little oil / grease over just the bolts and banjos would be my choice to protect rather than a just spraying something slippery near the brakes

Cheers guys, I wont spray it then just do the greese trick around the banjo's. What the best thing to put on the pin's/bolt threads to stop them seazing. Cooper greese?

I do, strip all the pads and springs out, apply it and leave it for an hour or so then give it all a good wipe off, leave it a while longer (so its stopped creeping about) then reassemble.
I usually use some brake cleaner round the discs as well in case they've caught any overspray.
Never had any problems with this method.

the one time I did have a problem was when I sprayed the forks, some must have ended up on the brakes, first mile from home resulted in a "oh dear, my braking power appears to be somewhat diminished" (- translation "oh F##K!") moment
Holding the brakes on for a mile or so will burn it off.

Yes copper grease on the pad retaining pins and bolts to stop them siezing, also a smear on the back of the pads.
Some lithium grease in the sliders (under the rubber boots) as well.

I have got fine spray from the scotoiler stuff on my breaks before and although I didnt destroy the performance the intial bite is weak, bike would still stoppie though. I think I will apply it and leave it for a while, got to change the plugs/chain/sproket so that will take a while.
