Default Stonehenge

For those you who know how crap that stretch of road is and for those who don't this is one of the worst bottle necks in the country combined with a junction that has scene its fair share of accidents, many fatal.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/southtoday/cont..._feature.shtml

They have taken 30 years to decide what to do, spent over £23 million during that time, had 50 proposed routes and countless government reviews they finally looked like they were getting somewhere with a tunnel proposal.

Today the government has scrapped the plans, called for another review and is nowhere nearer solving the problems 3 decades later.

Makes you proud to be British!

Isn't this the truth....

Isn't it strange that when the government is asked to spend money to do some good for it's own people it cannot afford it, but when it comes to waging an immoral war in Iraq there seems to be no limit to the cost.

Was there on Sunday on the way back from Bulford Camp and it was s***. Chucking it down with rain, loads of traffic ,pedestrians and all the drivers looking at the stones instead of the road.

Did you know that Stonehenge was proposed to be a city along the lines of those created by ancient civilizations like the Aztecs? Apparently only the basic structure had commenced when someone from the planning office spotted it and got it blocked as not all permits were in place.
