Default dog bones ......jack up

help please
i have just fitted some 40mm jacj up dog bones onto my lads bike1999 sv
my question is when i compared the ones that were on against the new ones they were only about 4mm longer ,thats hole centres.
the ones i took off were marked F20
does this about right or have i bought the wrong ones?
cheers in advance

My standard dog bones are marked F20 too.

Guess that 4mm at the linkage must mutiply up to 40mm ride height.

Not sure the exact measurement but the linkage does mulitlpy the effect, on my z750 even a few mills had a big effect on the handeling much lighter front end. Have you raised the ride height by 40mm over stock? That seems quite dramatic for a road bike
