Short answer no. However if you want to go racing with BEMSEE, not sure on any other clubs, you will do. To get an ACU licence you will however need to be a member of affiliated ACU clubs. Suggest you look through the list and see the closet one to you and give them a call. Check here. http://www.acu.org.uk/directory/
The club you join will need to sign off your licence and you will also need to go up to ACU House in Rugby to sit a test. Only takes about half a day. Sorry if you knew all this but it can get quite confusing when you first start out. It also doesnt matter that you have a restricted licence as you dont need a road licence to race.... Thats how the 12 year olds in the 125's get away with it.... ![]() |

As above really. My son was on a restricted licence & he had to sort out his ACU to do track days on his CBR600.
i'm off to Rugby a week on Monday to do mine, starts at 11.30, finishes at 3pm All classroom stuff & according to my lad, dead easy. I am joining the Wirral 100 club which is only £10 for the year, but they will sign off my ACU licence

I think thats only for moving from 'Novice ' to 'Intermediate novice' level. On track however it makes no difference whatsoever.

As others have said, you join a racing club (hottrax not bad for you) and apply for your licence. Bemsee wont allow you (although not sure about their 2 open days). If you want to race bemsee do their days training which you missed a few weeks ago
