Water Pump seal change - SV650.org

Just about to replace the seals/gaskets etc and hopefully cure the oil leak but have been quoted an astronomical £30 for some Suzuki Bond which is needed according to the official workshop manual.

Is there an alternative that doesn't cost the earth or will some simple RTV do the job just as well?

Use Blue or Red (aero grade) Hylomar. It's brilliant stuff, used on all major joins of RR jet engines!
