I recently purchased a brand new official nose cone from ebay to replace my damaged one, the listing said for a sonic silver sv650 or sv1000, it came with the sv1000 decals on which can be replaced to match my sv650 but my local dealer said that the nose cone part number were slightly different by one digit so was not sure if it would fit my bike, but could only be a small detail. can anyone confirm if a sv1000 nose cone will fit a sv650 as i dont want to get my bike dismantled then find it does fit and as the bloke has offered me a full refund dont want to miss this opportunity as well. Thanks in anticipation of your replies

its very easy to do shyfox, just unbolt the fairing stay from the headstock, unclip the lights wiring harness, then take the whole lot in the house and do it on the kitchen table in the warm, should be able to swap the whole thing over in a few hours.

It may simply be that the part number difference is because of the 1000 or 650 decals. What is more important is the moulding part number usually found somewhere on the inside.
When I bought a new nosecone for my K5 it came already stickered up, I assume the 1000 K3 one does too. |

I'm in the middle of changing now after an accident. Advice needed, and probably some parts, lol. Obviously I have to put the lights unit into the nosecone before putting it on the bike, but what bits of plastic do I attach? I'm missing 4 screws and the rectangular bits of metal that they screw onto. Also, do I attach the mirrors or the side of the nosecone fairing first? At the minute I've got the 2 mirrors and one side on, but cannot for the life of me attach the other side. Thanks

it should all fit together perfectly unless the subframe is a little twisted.
