its my race system, it has come,

it weighs

end can 1800grams (which is carbon)
downpipes 1700grams
midpipe500grams
i was going to use a brilo-pad and then autosol to clean it, as it was advertised as stainless, but im not sure?

If its the downpipe thats stainless you 'should' get away with a little fine wire wool and autosol A brillo might be ok too.
The stainless system on the SV is pretty heavy with out the end can on it, not sure how much it weighs.

I thought you may have been on about cans, the Raptors cans are titanium but they are like a brushed effect, and not shiny like stainless, bloody light as a feather, compared to stainless ones

i just took it to show my mate, and he said its titaninum

i thought it was, but the guy selling it obvoisly didnt,

i take it wirewool/brilo-pad/autosol will ruin it?

whats the best way to clean it? i think i read on here just WD40 and a rag?

Matt says a brillo should be fine(just test somewhere inconspicous)

wire wool, don't use it.

Wd40 on a rag, yep.

We've got the same problem with the Akrapovic full system we got for our curvy. The can is defo Ti, but the downpipes are so light and don't polish up at all. No matter how hard Lissa has tried. Our mate who runs a bike service shop reckons it is Ti. It's going to be going on ebay soon and don't want to wrongly advertise it.

The cans on the Duke are Ti too. Again we weren't sure. Seller didn't advertise them as such, but the insurance quote called them Ti and everybody who has seen em says the same. Confusing or what?

Hold a lighter to the tip and see if it starts oxidising! (turning blue)
