Default Problem with Hugger

My rear hugger was fitted to my bike (pointy) when it had its first service (it is a pyramid plastics hugger), I have since travelled 400 miles on my bike and noticed that when ever I seem to go over any loose stones or gravel on the road that the tyre picks them up and scrapes them on the inside of the hugger making the worst of noises. Does anyone else have this problem and what did they do too fix the problem? The only thing I can think of doing is re-drilling the fixing holes in the hugger so that it can be mounted a little bit further away from the rear tyre. Any other suggestions (helpfull ones ) are welcome.

Cheers,

Andy

couple of washers under the bolts?? to lift it higher. Did it to mine when there wasn't enough clearance for the tyre. Worked a treat!

What did you do to adjust it then? Did you re-drill the holes in the hugger?
