Default Eliminating Visor Howl

Hey!

I've got an HJC FG-14 and once I'm over 30mph, the wind noise through the visor is noticeable and becomes considerable at 50mph+.

As I can't afford a shiny new quiet lid for some time, what can I do to get around this?

Is there any kind of seal I can add to the visor surround on the lid to cut this down/out?

Only (highly impractical) thing I can think of is use some silicon sealant round the visor....
or do the above

Ear plugs?

Or, are you sure that you are closing the visor fully? I know that on my Arai I can think I have closed it fully closed it but there is just another like click to go .

Both options are cheap!

Nar- is definitely closed fully. There's a bit of a gap still- I've tried loosening the screws on the sides of the lids and pulling the mechanism back a bit to make the visor more flush, but it doesn't do the whole job.

I thought of silicone seal- I guess the trick there would be to ensure it seals without pushing the visor and making it pop open...

I'd avoid silicon sealant as they may damage the visor itself. I dunno if they will but i wouldnt risk it.

My Spidey lid is an HJC and i get this from time to time, i just push it harder back at those speeds and it seems to control it a bit more.

You could try the sponge stick on type draft excluder for around door frames.

I think that may be a bit bulky- even the smaller ones. I might try a bit of insulation tape around the edge of the lid where the visor connects- at least this is an easily removable option if it doesn't work! I don't think there's a huge gap, but that high pitched blustering-whistling noise is getting a bit annoying now...

Ear plugs. No further adjustment required.
