Hi all,
drew is currently being recovered home as he has a screw in the rear tyre. Is there any way he can remove the rear wheel with no stands ie. using just wood, car jack etc. (a safe way) as need to remove the rear wheel to get repaired tomorrow before work on monday. many thanks x |

Well they might fit well enough...
Not possible to plug and ride it to a tyre place? (used superglue & just screwed the screw back in once but not sure I'd recommend it) edit: have also used car jacks but " safe" would be debateable Last edited by Sosha; 23-04-10 at 05:50 PM. |

no its dual, which is why im hoping that my sv abba fittings may just work. Otherwise, thinking might have to try car jack and axel stands on swingarm.
Now sat in services petrol station as he needed fuel. Called it in nearly three hours ago!!!!!

no it's double swingarm, the bike will need to stay whatever it is on for the day, as dropping the tyre off in the morning and picking it up before they close. And I don't really want to stand outside holding it for the whole day!

Push it over on the sidestand and prop some bit of it up with a block of wood.
