Default Valve condition?

how would the face of the valves look when new ? the part that faces the piston


black or shiny/silver

no just wondered as i have cleaned them with acid and they are still black

Mine chamber only cleaned up completely with a dremel, which isnt advisable, my honda valves were metallic, though the head was darker than the stem.

Just leave it alone lol.

was going to use the dremel with a wire wheel

Oh well, the heads might not come off.

its stuf i was given by a mechanic, no idea what it is apart from its what he uses for valves its in a non branded like polish bottle its clear and irritates skin

works well

I think vinegar would probably do just as good a job. That's what I used to use to clean my rifle of carbon deposits after firing a few dozen rounds or so.
