Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).![]() |

I just joined and thought I'd say hello.
I'm hoping to pass my DAS tests in the next month or so and get myself an SV so I joined to get a bit more clued up! Theory and CBT are done and I just went to the MCN show on the weekend and got kitted up with some leathers and a lid, so just a bike to get, now. ![]() As yet, I'm still undecided between a naked or an S version, but it has to be black! ![]() If anyone can give me pros and cons of either or any advice for a first time buyer, that'd be great. |

The only thing Dave got wrong was the curvy being better looking, I don't think so, do you.
The only pointies Dave has seen are crashed ones, they can look ugly then ![]() Buy a later one with a black frame as these look better, especially a black bike. |

Ah, so it seems pointies Vs curvies is the subject of many disagreements in these parts
![]() I prefer the pointy naked but like both curvey and pointy S models. I think I'm going to go for a later model with fuel injection. I quite like the contrast on the naked silver frame with black tank. I see they're only on the 03/04 bikes? My budget is about 2200 so I'm going to keep an eye out for something while I get my full license sorted out. Is there anything to look out for in the age range 03-05? Prices seem to vary quite a bit. |
