Default 2K Paint or Rattle Can?

Evening All!

I have decided I have a little paint job on my hands.

Do I either attempt to do a couple of fairings by Rattle Can (Sand, Prime, Paint, Lacquer)

OR

Buy an Air Compressor all the tools required and find a supplier of some 2K Paint?

What will be the difference in quality, could you tell that much?

Any suggestions or help will be ace!

Well you could always sell the stuff after if you think you wont use it again.

I found it very hard to get a good finish using a spray can. Ive done it for brackets and stanchions etc, but not whole fairings. I personally wouldn't use spray cans. Not that it can't be done with a lot of patience and attention detail.

If you are using 2K you WILL need some breathing gear. Don't spray without it, you will do some serious damage to your health!

generally rattle can jobs loom ok to begin with and then end up looking a bit poo. Technically you can achieve the same finish but it is harder. Important to ge tth temp and humidity right too.

I always use 2k, but then again I have an air fed mask, compressor, gun.

And still I do a poo job as I don't spray enough to be competent.

Give the work to a pro to do, save an age fixing it and right first time

Rattle Can, I thought, I haven't got anything to loose except a few pounds and some prep time.

I'll upload some pics in a min but hard to see as fairing still currently hanging from ceiling in garage.
