Default Caring for matte paint?

*
Q. how do i take care of a matte paint finish (exterior)
A. Our work on matt black paint only extends to Bentley, Audi and Triumph motorcycle matt black paint, I feel I should point that out first. However, in our work with those paints we found that many Autoglym products were safe to use on the surfaces. Matt black paint is matt by nature and is not polishable, the matt element is 'in' the lacquer, so there is no fear of it coming up shiny or glossy. I would advise you to wash with Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner and then protect with Extra Gloss Protection. Once again we have only worked on Bentley, Audi and Triumph matt paints, and if you have any concerns about your own paint system contact the bodyshop or paint supplier to ask their advice.

Default Re: Caring for matte paint?

Silkolene's Pro Prep is very good on Matt paint and doesnt leave as much residue as some "matt dash" type products.
