For sale - My beloved Aprilia Tuono R '57 plate

Hey all. It is with much sadness, but my bike is up for sale.

I've barely touched it all summer, in fact I've only been out once since the end of June. I've just got a lot of other things going on just now.
I really don't think it would be doing much for the rest of the season now so I don't want to leave it sitting until next year. Much better to hand it over to an appreciative new owner.







So, to the bike....

It is a limited edition, the Daytona 300 version and I honestly think it's the best colour scheme available. It's only got 6800 miles and it is in excellent condition throughout. It is an absolute pleasure to swing a leg over and go for a run on this machine, the handling/power/comfort balance is perfect. In town, as good as an SV. Back road scratching, up with the best. Two-up camping trip, no problem. Hand on heart, I've never had any problem with it in two years. I am the third owner, but I've put 6000 of those miles on it!

I've got a set of fresh Pirelli Rosso II's in the shed to go on it, which will be fitted for the new owner to scrub in. Currently, I have returned it to standard, but as of tonight some parts (puig d/b screen, seat cowl, spare panels etc.) are still unsold so these could be included at cost if you like. Speak to me.

Negatives - it has a couple of chips in the lower part of the bikini fairing, but these are really small. One on a headlight lens, but then I fitted lens covers so no more than that. The seat/tail has some very light surface marks, but I think these are unavoidable. Otherwise the paintwork is immaculate, as is the rest of the bike really.It is is due an interim service, but I am unable to get this done as the dealer is a 450mile round trip+overnighter for me and I just haven't had the time available.

The bike has been mapped by Aprilia ready for race cans of your choice, but I am providing the standard cans (silver ones in pics). It got it's first MOT in February, which it flew through. Taxed until the end of March 2012. Insurance is surprisingly reasonable.

I understand that for many on here I live waaaay up there in the Highlands out of reach! But I (and others on here) can assure you, on the return journey you will have the very best roads for your first memorable run on it.

Alternatively we can discuss meeting halfway, not a problem. Well, me letting go of the keys might be!

Selling due to buying a new car, and the cash would boost the wedding fund for next year too.

At £4750 it is a steal, there's similar but older on sale at up to £6000!

Beautiful bike, and the best handling bike I've ever ridden, very very very fast and needs to be respected, anyone that gets on one of these and is used to a v twin (like the SV guys) will not be disappointed, ignore all the gossip that Aprillias are unreliable that's bull they are the same as most motors, service them regulrly and they will keep going on and on, one downfall is the fuel consumption 100-120 miles per tank or 31-36 mpg but who buys a bike for good mpg if you do buy a BMW you old fart.

Good luck with the sale priced very well, although you may get a quicker offer if you include a couple of extras such as the exhausts? but the tyres are worth over £200.

I'v seen this bike at the GM and it looks the f*cking mutts nuts. Sounded awesome too.
