So for a while now the bikes been making a bit of a fluttering noise, it's not got worse and I just figure it's a bit annoying but normal. Only mention it in case it's relevant.
Anyways to the more recent issue, this weekend I've been out twice and done maybe 100 miles or so and the fluttering has become more of a sucking/wheezing noise when the throttle is rolled on, it doesn't seem to be directly related to revs per se more the amount of gas. also I've noticed that when I change gear normally and open the throttle it takes a split second for any power to come through, if I change really slowly it's ok. They could be related, or not. I own a Haynes manual and some spanners but that's as far as my mechanical experience goes! What should I try next to narrow this down a bit? Thanks Org |

could be some sort of rubbish blocking airfilter mainly or as mavi has said, airbox not seated properly,
when did you last clean the filter or replace? |

Do one job at a time if theres a problem your just eliminiating the possibilitys first, I'd say clean the filter maybe check the Air box while your down there go run it check it come back.
When you fixate on a noise or feeling it becomes annoying, this might just be the feeling but you've cottoned' on to it more? I thought my gear changes where harsh, but after checking a couple vids there fine, I tend not to use the clutch from 40 upwards so that may have played a part. Get a air hose or canister & spray opposit direction the filter papers sit the the filter & re-install. or just replace the filter there only about £15 & then you know it's not that & you've replaced something that may not have been checked in them 22k miles. |

I'll check the air filter tomorrow, I've only owned the bike since December so obviously not done it myself yet. It had a full service history but I guess you never know. |

its called a clutchless shift
use foot to apply upward pressuse to the gear lever ,get high revs, blip the thottle (off on quickly), it ups gear |
