I was never on it but as a general point there must be something wrong with any platform with so much power being in the hands of one individual, whoever that is.

I've stopped posting on there but still follow a few accounts. Mainly I use it for news of new EV charging spots opening up, but there's been so many in the past 18 months its not an issue for travelling anymore. I only log on maybe once a week.

I joined it several years ago. I think I posted two tweets and then got bored so deleted my account. My life has not been affected by this <grin>

I never joined. I used to admire Musk for what he did with SpaceX and then Tesla. I think he started the push to electric cars which were actually usable.
Then...

... the Americans have an expression: "Drinking the Kool-Aid" meaning you strongly believe in something stupid, deranged or dangerous often because you were told it was the right thing to do.

He told advertisers to "go eff themselves" when they complained about his rhetoric, now he's trying to sue them because they won't advertise on X. He likes ketamine (allegedly) maybe he should seek help?

Liz Truss thinks he's great and we can trust her judgement /s

I joined it to keep up with the last flight of the Vulcan so I could be ready with the camera when it got to my location. Have never posted anything and have not logged on since. Will get round to deleting my account when I can be bothered.

I've never bought into the Elon Musk hype. He's just a modern P.T.Barnum to me. Same as ,"Dyson" the Vacuum cleaner salesman.

I believe electric cars to be a techno cul-de-sac. Too heavy and the mining of the rare earth materials plus the disposal of the batteries rule them out as a long-term transport solution to me. Hydrogen cell and Hydrogen engines are better solution and we should soon be able to generate the electricity required to make our own Hydrogen.

I predict in the not too distant future and if we get it right we will become an Electricity generator nation and be able to sell electricity to Europe and what a lovely irony that we left the EU and might be able to make money out of the French <grin> instead of buying electricity off them

Add to that the expansion of ,"Vertical Farming" we could easily be a self sufficient country I reckon by 2050 but I most likely be around to see it
