Default Best Indicators for a curvy

Hi there im shortly looking to change them big ugly orange indicators front and back on my SK1 just wanted some advice on best ones to get to replace them with.

I was quite interested in a set of l.e.d arrow ones but worried when i see you have to change the resistors ect.

any ideas be much appreciated

Thanks

Phone Motrax and explain the situation and they should send you out some higher grade ones - well they're doing it for me.

Oh right cheers K worth me giving them a call, probably a stupid question but best to buy the long stem version for the front and the back of the bike right??

It's a matter of taste vs visability really, for me anyway.

I was going to have short stems front and back, but with my [bike's] new slimmer rear they weren't really visable enough above the number plate for me. So I've swapped them for the long stems on the back.

Annoyingly though the actual lenses are slightly bigger on the long stem version, so I just have to figure out whether it'll bug me or not!
I know I'll only see them both when I'm admiring my bike and not when I'm riding it...

To be honest I think your probably better off with the long stem version I know as far as looks go its best to fit nice small indi's but like you say you gotta way up the factor of being seen and thats tough enough job on a bike at the best of times.

Main reason im looking is cuz i have a new suzuki undertray coming to tidt up the rear and cant be putting it on with them big orange wedges

cheers for the your advise K

On a slight tangent, have you thought of fitting clear lenses instead?

A mate has put them on his yellow SK1 (same as mine in the avatar) and they look so much better than the orange jobbies. He also fitted the posh silvered bulbs so you couldn't see orange bulbs inside.

I'd do it, but can't really justify the cost at the mo'

Clear lenses would definetly be an improvment but to be honest although would the cost of the l.e.d indicators is pretty hefty they look a much nicer size to compliment the smaller rear end.

cheers for the idea though always worth weighing up the different options

I use the Motrax ovals with tradtional bulbs, I think they fit the look of the bike best... They've got a better reflector in than the similiar HG ones, BTW.

Buell indicators look good on an SV...

Cheers for the link matt the new new ones look good on there, arrow indicators are probably little more suited to the newer shape SV cuz of its sharper angles but think they will be fine just need to get few quid together then i can buy 2 sets.
