Default Tire Tread Question?

I run D208's front and rear. On a car the tread patterns are designed to force water from the center of the tire out so hydroplanning does not occur. On a set of D208 the rear tire is the same as a car but the front is opposite. It appears as it it attemps to force water into the center of the tire. I can explain this in only 3 ways. One, these tires are not meant to be in the rain. Two, the idea is to force water into the path of the rear tire, causing it to break loose first in a corner. Three, the tread pattern on the 208 has nothing to do with its rain performance. Please help me figure out why the tread pattern is the way it is.[/img]

pattern in front is opposite the rear cause primary reason for traction in front is braking and in rear acceleration

If there were one good way to pattern a tread, we can be sure that most tyres intended for any given purpose would be at least very similar in that respect.

As it is, most tyre manufacturers say that, within reason, the exact pattern of the tread is not critical, again, within reason.

Many tread patterns are greatly affected by marketing pressures, that is, the requirement for a brand design.
