Default Heres a thought

My SV is in for a service today, so I have a loan bike

Its a naked 650 Bandit 05 model now I noticed that it has Bridgestone 020's on it, So I got to thinking now why dont they fit 020's to the new K5 model SV's rather than dunlops that have such a poor reputation ?

Just a thought

Nope, I've looked closely at the images on the Suzuki site, and indeed they are BT020's fitted to the new Bandit 650.

It's a heavy bike (201Kg) and I expect that Suzuki felt that it needed the extra grip.

I also expect that the Bandit is extremely cheap to manufacture, being that it's been around for 15-20 years or so, and the margins allow such extravagance.

Can you imagine what it'd be like with 220's on though? There'd be accidents and resulting law-suits all over the place!

Its a bit of a hoot actually, steering is sharp and its turns quicker than my SVS, the gearbox is nicer to.

I can tell its heavier than my SVS, I do like it just I prefer my SVS
