3 offs in 2 days.... not me - SV650.org

I've been unlucky enough (although not unlucky as the ppl who came off) and seen 3 offs on the A40 in the last couple of days.

2 this morning within a couple hundred yards of each other.... it looked like there had been one crash (which looked kinda nasty).. the traffic backed up, well actually became solid and then a rangerover has gone into the back of another bike (cruise type)

1 similar type of crash yesterday, looked like someone had just toppled over whilst filtering.

certainly slows you down a bit. Good news and heart warming was that in all incidents, there were a couple or more other bikers who had stopped and were helping out.

The A40 is bad news. When I did my "Bikesafe" day, they local plod said that it is the worst stretch of road in the area for RTA's (from the M25 to the A406). I never commute to work on it, sometimes come home that way but the A4/M4 to me always seems less hassle and quicker (depending on where you live and work of course!)

to be honest in the 18 months i've been commuting down it thats the first bike accidents ive seen.

i've seen loads of cars rear ending each other.. and loads of bike near misses.

prehaps i've just been lucky...

welcome to winter. darkness setting in earlier, bad weather and ignorant cagers driving like its dry and sunny.

sorry to say but get used to it.
