Default LED Indicator Wiring

My LED indicators have been on since i bought the bike and also have the resistors wired in. However, ive looked today and noticed that out of about 20 LEDs on each of the indicators, only about 3or 4 are actually flashing. Ive looked at the wiring and its fixed together with spade connectors (as you would with audio equipment). Im also getting an earthing problem as it affects the rear lights when flashing.

Can someone post up a diagram to show how the resistors should be wired in?

is this right? The little black boxes are crimped connections and im not sure whether these connections are causing the earthing problem. Either way i dont seem to be getting all LEDs lit

disconnect the resistor and see if you get all the leds lit up. It'll flash too fast, but that won't matter for this test.

ive disconnected the resistor and amazingly, the flash rate has remained the same (normal rate) and all LEDs are now lit. I still have an earthing problem tho, the brake light gets brighter and darker with every flash. Tried running an extra earth to a screw (tested for earthing qualities) however its made no difference

change that, left it running and after about 1min, it started flashing faster again. Then i was down to only 3 LEDs. Seems the battery is flattening so left it for tonight on the optimizer to see how it is tomorrow

at tickover its normal for the other lights to change in brightness when the indicator flashes - a little bit! major fluctuations are bad. Also i wouldn't expect a led indicator to cause this as the current draw is very low. However remember your headlights are also on, which is working the battery very hard.

Does sound like you have an electrical problem somewhere. I do hope charging the battery fixes it!
