Default Changing rear shock.... How easy/hard

Bearing in mind my numptyness at mechanical matters should I attempt this myself...

Anyone done it recently, common issues ? I have an abba stand, so I presume I just get the wheel out the way and loosen nuts/bolts and just swapover... ? Its an identical shock

Never done it mainly because you have to have the back end unloaded so you will need an abba stand or some way of suspending the bike.

I dont have either.

It's pretty easy. Fiddly in places just because of access, and the linkage bolts will be hard to shift if they've been untouched from birth. You don't need to remove the wheel either, though it does make things simpler (I don't). If you've got a full system fitted, you'll maybe have issues with the headers being in the way.

You'll want to check and grease the linkage bearings... TBH, there's a good chance they'll be a bit ****ed. It's a killer combination of out of sight and mind, but exposed. But at the very least, get in there with some new grease.

I agree with Northwind. Pretty easy with an Abba stand. The linkage bolts will be the problem ,firstly by being probably seized, and by the difficulty to get on them. Be a perfect opportunity to grease everything as well.
